HART VOOR HANDICAP Parent Committee

HART VOOR HANDICAP’s Parent Committee is extremely important and valuable to the HART VOOR HANDICAP Program. All parents/caregivers are encouraged to consider taking part in this essential component of ABCD.

The main goal of HART VOOR HANDICAP’s Parent Committee is to build connection and community with HART VOOR HANDICAP families through hosting a variety of social events. The first meeting will be held the end of September each year to begin planning and brainstorming. A member of the HART VOOR HANDICAP administrative team will be available to attend meetings as needed throughout the year.

HART VOOR HANDICAP staff will assist in distributing information, collecting RSVP’s etc. Our goal is to offer at least two social opportunities within the academic year. The Committee is encouraged to seek sponsorship and/or donations to cover the cost of social events. Sponsorship packages will be provided for distribution.

When a parent/caregiver signs up to participate in the committee, they are only committing for one academic year, September – June at which point committee members can decide to stay on or take a break. Sign up for the committee will be sent to all HART VOOR HANDICAP parents/caregivers every June and will remain open until after registration in September.
